Looking at my life, I realize that I had put all my eggs in one basket. I have spent 17 years investing in my children, my home, and my husband. I have no education and very little skills that translate to anything beyond a nanny or house cleaner. Had I thought for a moment that one day my spouse would decide to stop caring, I would have prepared.
However, thats not the way it works. We don't get to peer into our future and plan for it. It is time to take action!
Checklist for this next chapter of my life-
1. Get my GED
2. Go to community college
3. Transfer
4. Graduate
